The following list details much of the software that is available to campus departments through Information Technology (IT). IT has a standard build for both Windows XP and Macintosh machines. Additional software can be added, though charges for purchasing a license may apply. For more information, please contact the Help Desk at 341-HELP.

• Windows - This software is available for computers running Microsoft Windows.
• Mac OS X - This software is available for Apple Macintosh computers running OS X.
• Standard Build - This software is installed by default on all computers using the standard campus build.
• Personal Machine - This software can be installed on a personal, non-university owned, computer.
• License Cost - The cost (if applicable) of a license if it is needed to install the software.

**Antivirus software is installed for you on Desktop Enhancement machines and new desktop/laptop builds provided by Information Technology. Students, Faculty, and Staff are encouraged to also obtain antivirus software for home use--IT provides a free download of McAfee VirusScan (Windows) and Virex (Macintosh) for all campus customers.
