Information Technology (IT) provides a number of services for the
faculty and staff of the campus. Services include, but are not limited to the
following:
Application Support
IT supports a number of widely-used software applications. Many
applications are currently part of the campus-standard
installation of Windows XP or Macintosh OS X.

Networking Services-- IT does not provide or support dial-up networking to
the campus network. However, customers can find viable, low-cost alternatives
in the Rolla area.
- Virtual Private
Networking -- IT's recommended solution for connecting to the campus
network from off-campus.
- Mapping Network Drives -- How to set up additional network drives
on Windows XP machines both on and off-campus.
- Network
File Storage -- IT allows all students, faculty and staff to store data on
the campus network. This includes personal data storage and Web pages as well
as official university data produced in the course of a day's work.
- Wireless Network
Services -- Connect to the Internet and to other campus network resources
via a wireless connection.
