Computer Account Assistance

The Single Sign-on (SSO) User ID provided to you as part of the Admissions process allows access to university computer resources including:

  • Email
  • Login to Computer Learning Center (CLC) machines
  • The Help Request System
  • VPN connections
  • SFTP access
  • Joe'SS (registering for classes, paying university bills, etc.)
  • Blackboard (course management system)
  • Other Missouri S&T resources that require you to authenticate such as secure Web page

If you're having trouble with your computer account or have forgotten your password, etc., there are a couple of opportunities to get assistance.

Attending a PRO session? IT works with New Student Programs to provide assistance with common account questions during each Information Resource Fair. IT staff members are on hand to answer your questions and to provide face-to-face, real-time technical support.

Unable to visit the Missouri S&T campus or need help before or after attending a PRO Session? You can get assistance over the phone by contacting the IT Help Desk at (573) 341-HELP.

Additional tips:

  • Because a SSO User ID and password will allow access to all of these resources, IT mandates that all customers create a strong password.
  • Be sure when you set your password for the first time that you also set a hint, so if you forget your password you can easily recover it.
